An Elusive Goal…

… would be understanding advanced mathematics. I have never been particularly fond of math, probably because when I see it or hear it being explained I see a jumble of numbers and ideas floating in space. When I was a child, once we moved past simple equations it was all down hill. At the time, no one was diagnosing children with dyscalculia; dyslexia was just emerging. Dyscalculia, is basically the inability to perform mathematical problems, the list of symptoms is long, however there are other markers as well, for instance mixing up left and right. It seems as I have gotten older, and passed through the system, a professor of mine took notice and realized I was on target with some things, but ask me to calculate anything or remember the order of formula and I was a black hole of despair.
